These dies are designed to recess the flange of a riv nut in a sheet metal panel. This allows you to bolt two panels together without the obstruction of a riv nut head. These dies are CNC machined from 4140 Pre-hard alloy steel. These all have 1\/4-20 threads on the female die. Drill a 1\/4\" hole in your panel, install the dimple, then drill the 1\/4\" hole out to the proper size for the desired riv nut.
